Catherine Karas organized StarWork in 1999 to give service to the Community-at-Large
She is a teacher of spiritual and energy practices having taught CoreEnergetics with the late Dr. John Pierrakos, MD, healing at The Barbara Brennan School of Healing, and spiritual development in the Pathwork.
Catherine has been practicing spiritual healing for over 25 years as well as spiritual counseling based on the Pathwork.
She brings a combination of intuition, compassion, intelligence, sense of humor and clarity to her work and has a goal of creating safety for each person who works with her
Catherine has earned a BS in Physical Therapy; an MA in Psychology; an MEd in Counseling all from Columbia University; She has completed Pathwork Helpership training and CoreEnergetic Training as well as The Barbara Brennan School of Healing
Her book: The Thought-a-Week Guide: How to Cope with Stress was published by Ballantine in 1987. Her second book, a series of discourses on psycho-spiritual development, is presently being edited.
Catherine was chosen as one of twenty healers from a nationwide search to be included in a study on long distance healing and AIDS at UCSF. She has been included in all three subsequent studies.
